The Secret: Scrumptious
Folks, I am a meta-physician at heart--so I really enjoyed and learned from reading The Secret [plus watching the matching DVD.
If you believe in your heart there is more to life than just bouncing around from here to there and that indeed we do co-create our existence, The Secret is not to be missed!

Water for Elephants: Scrumptious
Part of what made ristening [listening to a book on CD] great were the two reader/actors. The other part was the richness of the story, plot and characters and the details for the past time period. It kept my attention and created vivid pictures in my mind.
I will be adding it to my sister's reading list!

Whenever love calls, you better answer by Bebe Moore Campbell: Tempting
What can I say, this is a pretty cool, different love story. I felt it said a lot about love and life and why we are still here.

Score: Tempting
Here is the thing about this book, the author makes a valiant attempt to bring as much rational thought to the subject of aliens as possible. Only every once in awhile, the stretch was simply too far for me.
Still, if one is going on a long drive, this would hold one's attention and keep one awake.
Happy Trails,

Score: Purely Scrumptious
I loved this book! In fact, I am listening to it again. Part of what makes it fabulous is that is a personal story read by the author. So we catch all the nuances and undertones.
Plus, this woman seems to share generously, though watches her boundaries. Her humor bubbles up even when in the middle of difficulty, heartbreak and pain. One get the impression that they too have visited Italy, India and Indonesia. The smells, tastes, touches and visuals of each unique destination came alive to transport me momentarily to this other world.
It could be considered a chick-book but I think even moderately feeling men may appreciate her storytelling mix of human experience, humor, history and...well, sex. Yes, there is a bit of conversation about the topic, among other subjects.
Enjoy,

I really enjoy listening to books on CD. So I have decided to post my reviews here. Of course, your feedback is welcomed.
Here is what I am thinking:
Scrumptious For the ones I like best
Tempting For offerings which are ok, so-so, have some good points and some not so good points.
Blucky For the ones I did not like and or would not recommend
What I consider when listening to a book on CD is the plot, character development and the reader. Sometimes the reader can break the whole thing. To give you an idea about my standards, I loved the Harry Potter series as Jim Dale is fabulous--something like 150 voices. Sheez! The one I probably liked least was Wicked which surprised me because I LOVED the musical.
